About the course

If you already have a masters degree, the MLitt enables you to carry out postgraduate research without doing a PhD. You can complete an MLitt in most subjects offered by the Faculty of Arts, subject to approval and availability of supervision. You can underake advanced study of language structure and use. Topics include: Formal and functional syntax, Phonology, Historical linguistics, Language contact, Semantics, Pragmatics and Sociolinguistics.
