About the course
If you already have a masters degree, the MLitt enables you to carry out postgraduate research without doing a PhD. You can complete an MLitt in most subjects offered by the Faculty of Arts, subject to approval and availability of supervision. Postgraduate study in History allows you to extend your skills and pursue specialised areas of historical research to suit your interests. You are encouraged to become familiar with current debates on the nature of history and with the major theoretical developments which have influenced the field in the past 20 years.
