About the course
Product Design BSc (Hons) combines industrial product design with engineering design principles to develop both your creative and technical skills. You will study the fundamentals of maths and science, electronics, simulation and fluid dynamics and the functional and market-led requirements of product design. Specific areas include technology integration, Computer Aided Design (CAD), sustainability and design for manufacture. Graduates go on to work as specialist professionals in a range of industries in roles from designers through to managers. Recent graduates have embarked on careers as designers and design engineers in companies such as BMW, Dyson, Asseal and JCB. The skills you learn will also prepare you for a career in design management, teaching or postgraduate research.3-year course, Full time (Optional sandwich year).Intake Months
