This degree programme focuses on the technical aspects of computing, placing a strong emphasis on programming skills. This will help you to attain the vital technical knowledge required to pursue a range of IT careers, as well as the transferable employability skills needed to secure your first role. The BSc (Hons) Computing is a hands-on degree programme that encourages students to develop an extensive knowledge of computer programming. This location benefits from being right in the heart of Birmingham, a stone’s throw away from Birmingham New Street train station and the Bullring, one of the largest shopping centres in the UK. Within the intimate learning environment, students can easily focus on work with the resources available to them. We offer a quiet learning space in our library complete with a suite of computers to give students the tools and space to focus on their studies. Between lectures, students are able to take advantage of the breakout spaces on offer and relax with friends inside the building or head out into the city centre and its wealth of attractions.
