About the course
Computational Science is an interdisciplinary field which uses skills from mathematics and information technology to tackle real-world scientific problems which can only be solved through computation. Genetics is transforming our understanding of life through knowledge of inheritance, gene structure and expression, the genetic basis of traits, and the interaction between genes and the environment. Computational analysis of genome sequences is allowing unprecedented discoveries in areas as diverse as human medicine, agriculture, conservation biology and biotechnology.
