About the course
The Pittsburg State University Early Childhood Unified Program results in a general and special education teaching license for programs serving children Birth through Grade 3. The program focuses on hands-on experience in Pre-K and primary grade classrooms working with general education students and students with special needs. Beginning in the first semester of your sophomore year, you will spend over 1,000 hours in pre-schools and kindergarten through grade 3 classrooms working with students and mentor teachers. You will practice teaching strategies and classroom management techniques that will help you meet the needs of all children.
